A hotel experience with the weight of heritage behind it — and the comfort guests expect today.
Designing for a setting as storied as Warwick Castle means respecting what's already there. The challenge was to create a hotel experience that felt characterful and rooted in its surroundings, without sacrificing the warmth, comfort and quiet luxury modern guests look for.
Heritage spaces carry expectation. Guests arrive with a picture already in their heads, and the interior has to live up to the name on the door. But a hotel also has to be livable — practical, warm and welcoming — not a museum you're afraid to touch.
Heritage Meets Comfort
We approached the interior design and fit-out as a single, joined-up process — material palettes, joinery, lighting and detailing all developed together so the finished space reads as one considered whole rather than a series of separate decisions.
Texture did a lot of the quiet work: tactile fabrics, layered lighting and natural materials that feel grounded and timeless rather than trend-led. The aim was a space that nods to its history without dressing up as a costume — confident enough to feel contemporary, respectful enough to belong.
The result is an environment that honours its location while still feeling like somewhere you'd genuinely want to stay — and come back to.
We'd love to talk you through the full project in detail.
